Black Salt, also known as Ayurveda Salt or Kala Namak, is used as a spice as well as an integral part of ayurvedic treatment (e.g. sulphuric baths).

You may purchase Kala Namak in rocks of different sizes. In this state, it resembles volcanic rocks or lava, as it is dark brown to black in colour.
